Hotels, inns, training centres, cenference centres
offering accommodation and hostels can all be swan labelled and offer:
Reduced consumption of energy and water, reduced utilisation of environmentally harmful chemicals for washing and cleaning, wasting sorting, documented environmental management system, environmental consideration in transportation planning.
If the swan labelled venue has a restaurant, conference facilities or a swimming pool, these facilities are also included in the labelling and its requirements. The greatest change in the revised criteria (version 3.0) is that we have increased energy efficiency requirements to reduce the climate impact of the hotel, and this limit to energy consumption is mandatory. The new requirements of the hotels also include: Stricter requirements that the hotel must use a larger share of eco-labelled paper products, cleaning fluids and detergents.
