Folkehjem (The People's Home) was the meeting place for Danes when Southern Jutland was under German rule until 1920 and it is still regarded as the regional gathering place for Danes.
The Portrait Room contains more than 56 portraits of persons who, in one way or another, have contributed to upholding Danish ideals in this region, including Queen Mother Ingrid.
